When They’re Not There — Making the Most of a Tough Draw at Lodge Farm

6 May 2026

Lindholme Lakes – Cost Cutter Open on Laurels, Peg 6

12 Apr 2026

A structured three-line approach on Laurels delivered 40lb 13oz for 8th from 21 anglers. Patience through quiet spells, a strong F1 spell on the short pole, and a perfectly-timed switch to the margins sealed a solid result.

Match Report – Shimano Aero Bomb & Feeder Winter League, Round 9

23 Jan 2026

A disciplined approach on the mini method feeder produced steady bites from pellet-reared stock fish, allowing me to build a reliable weight without drifting between options. A brief, controlled test on bomb and corn picked up a better F1 but didn’t justify abandoning the main line, so I returned quickly to what was working. Finishing with 16 lb 9 oz, this was a measured performance that prioritised control and consistency over speculative changes.

Sykehouse Fisheries Open Match – Rover Draw, Cat Ice, One Perch (Packed Up 11:30)

4 Jan 2026

Lindholme Lakes – Sunday Open- Benny’s Peg 53

19 Oct 2025

A slow, testing open on Benny’s. Early liners but few bites on the method, a timely margin F1, and a late run of skimmers saved the session. A reminder that consistent pellet feeding often outperforms relying on attraction alone.

Lindolme Lakes - Sunday Open, Bonsai Peg 82

5 Oct 2025

A strong start on the method to the island produced a steady run of F1s. A failed switch to bomb and pellet cost time, but persistence back on the method salvaged the session. A late lost fish proved costly and reinforced the value of patience when playing better fish.
